Most of my family lives on Maui and O‘ahu. My hope is to use this website as a way to check what time it is back home. I haven't lived in Hawaii since I was 18. This is not so unusual for kids that grow up in the islands. After graduating high school, they might go to the mainland for school or work. There are usually more opportunities there. I decided to study art and that path took me to California, New York, and now the Netherlands. Whenever people ask me where I grew up, I feel a little guilty when I say Hawaii. I guess it's because my life path took me so far from home to the point where I'm not even sure I consider it home any longer.
